Duproof is ISO 9001 Quality Assured Company and all DUBOARD carry a 10– year material warranty against any manufacturing defects.
FORM OF SUPPLY
DUBOARD are supplied in sheets of 1m X 2m, in standard thickness of 3 mm, 3.2 mm, 3.5 mm and 4 mm. Finished on both faces with polyethylene foils. For other thickness contact Duproof or local distributor.
USES AND COMPATIBILITY
Protection to waterproofing membranes and coatings in foundations, Floors, terraces, bridge decks, planters, etc. DUBOARD provides positive protection not only during construction activities and backfilling, but also at the time of later settlement.
DUBOARD is compatible with a wide range of waterproofing systems, including: All cold applied and hot applied bituminous sheet membranes and liquid applied systems.
Install DUBOARD continuously over the membrane, butting the joints. Cut DUBOARD sheets with a roofer’s knife as required obtaining complete coverage and a neat overall finish. For maximum protection all butt joints may be taped with a 50 mm wide PVC Tape. On vertical areas spot bond the boards with a compatible bituminous or neoprene adhesive, using temporary supports in place until backfilling operation. In horizontal areas spot bonding at corners and sides of the boards will be sufficient to avoid slippage during subsequent work over the boards.
Torching: In certain cases the boards can be lightly torched applied to the membrane for permanent fix. Consult Duproof or your local distributor for advice.
Backfilling: Concrete or application of toppings over the boards must begin as early as possible, after installation of DUBOARD. Backfilling must be carried out with care to avoid dragging the boards down.
PACKING & STORAGE
DUBOARD boards are stacked on a pallet one over the other and stretch wrapped. Store on level ground under shade.
HEALTH & SAFETY
There are no health hazards associated with the normal usage. Wear gloves while handling to avoid injury; refer to the MSDS sheets for advice.
